Local mum takes on the Abseil to support St Helier Hospital
Carshalton resident Chloe, 27, is gearing up for a challenge as she prepares to abseil down St Helier Hospital in support of Epsom and St Helier Hospitals Charity.
As a full-time mum to her five-year-old daughter and a dedicated carer for her father, Chloe has a deep connection to St Helier Hospital. She gave birth to her daughter there, and the hospital has been a source of support through significant moments in her life, including providing critical care for her father in August 2023.
“St Helier is close to my heart,” Chloe shared. “It’s been a part of big milestones in my life- from having my daughter to the excellent care they’ve given my dad and even my nan. I want to raise money to help others who truly need the medical support the hospital provides.”
Chloe is particularly passionate about supporting the Intensive Care Unit, where her father received incredible care during a life-threatening illness. “The Intensive Care Unit Team worked tirelessly to save my dad’s life. Their care extended beyond my dad to our family, offering support during such a tough time,” she explained.
Ahead of the Abseil St Helier, Chloe is feeling a mix of excitement and purpose. “I’m thrilled to be doing something that will benefit other families and the future of the hospital,” she said.
Her message to others considering fundraising to support the hospitals is simple: “Take the leap, have fun, and support a hospital that means something to you.”
